Metric coarse HSS M2 right hand cutting split dies are used to produce external male threads when used in hand a die stocks. Split die stocks have adjusting screws which allows the die to be compressed or expanded to accommodate slight variations in size, material strength, die sharpness or threading difficulty. Split dies can be used to cut threads in a number of passes, tightening the die on each pass.
