Clamex P-14 Flexus offers all the existing advantages of the original P-System. These include quick, tool-free installation, lateral tolerance, twist prevention and stackability. What distinguishes the Clamex P-14 Flexus from the Clamex P-14, are the retractable positioning pins. Due to the flexible nature of these positioning pins they can be depressed to sit flush with the edge of the board with no rigid elements (as there is with the original Clamex P-14 fitting) of the connector protruding. This new feature allows the subsequent installation of shelves and panels into pre-assembled cabinets, desks and furniture simplifying the assembly sequence considerably. For example, adding an addition shelf to a pre-installed unit without the need to disassemble the carcass.
The positioning pins serve to locate the fitting in the female section and eliminate the possibility of twisting as the fitting is tightened.
The double-sided bevel of the positioning pins also allow the workpiece to be detached again.
