Guide Rail Systems
Guide rail systems are normally associated with plunge saws from the likes of Festool and Mafell, but they can be used with other tools such as jigsaws, routers, insulation saws, tile cutters, and grinders. The purpose of the guide rail system is to make precise, straight cuts with limited setup time. Â
The extruded aluminium rails have raised guides spanning the entire length of the track, which the power tool runs on; thus, once seated on the guide rail, the tool is unable to move, making a perfectly straight cut. Guide rails can be joined together to make straight cuts virtually limitless in length.Â
All guide rail systems feature a sacrificial anti-splinter strip that works in conjunction with circular saws, plunge saws, and crosscut saws; upon the first use of the saw and guide rail combination, the strip is perfectly cut to size to promote splinter-free cuts on the base material.Â
We also proudly work with Festool, Mafell, and Metabo, who manufacture power tools that work in conjunction with a guide rail.Â
