Cordless Planers

A cordless planer can make what has traditionally been a laboursome task almost effortless. The benefit of attaching a motor to a set of planer blades allows the operator to simply guide the tool rather than have to put physical effort behind it to complete the operation. The luxury of being able to press a switch and push means long passes of the planer can be made easily thus achieving a clean, notch-free, consistent finish.  The cutter blocks feature TCT blades which give long life on a wide variety of materials. All high-performance cordless planers have a safety switch to prevent accidental start-up and many have a spring-loaded clip which raises the base plate from the work surface when not in use to prevent damage to the blades and damage to the substrate should the planer be placed on the material before the cutter block has stopped. It is common for cordless planers to be purchased as a body only as they are often additions to existing cordless kits.
