Safety Footwear

Safety footwear can feature puncture-resistant midsoles made from steel or composite materials, tread designs that help to prevent slips and falls, and special vinyl and rubbers that offer cold and heat insulation, oil and acid resistance, and energy absorption. Other considerations are ankle protection, waterproofness, and unique features such as lace protection for environments where sparks and hot metals can land on the footwear. All safety footwear is required to meet an international standard, which specifies basic and additional requirements for safety footwear used for general purposes.

How does Click and Collect work?
  • Free Service: There’s no charge for using Click and Collect.
  • Availability: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Depots: You can collect from any of Protrade’s five depots: Derby, Burton-on-Trent, Chesterfield, Mansfield, or Nottingham.
  • Speed: If the item is in stock, it will be ready for collection within 10 minutes of placing your order.
