Back Plates
Backplates are mounted to masonry and timber structures using traditional woodscrews which locate in two countersunk holes at either end of the plate. A female threaded socket is situated in the middle of the backplate allowing threaded studs – sometimes referred to as drop rods to be suspended from the fitting.
Typically used in electrical and mechanical installations backplates can also be used in suspended ceilings, lighting systems and sprinkler installations.
