Gas lens Alumina Oxide gas nozzles are the most popular TIG cups, they are made from high-temperature shock-resistant alumina oxide that is injection moulded and when fired they turn pink in colour. 90% of all welding applications use alumina cups.
Gas lens ceramic nozzles provide a given amount of shielding gas coverage to the weld pool, according to their size, a smaller nozzle provides less gas coverage than a larger one.
Ceramic nozzle orifice sizes are normally denoted by a number which relates to 1/16” (1.6mm) increments, for example a No 6 nozzle would relate to 6 x 1/16” = 3/8” (9.6mm).
Parts are compatible with the Tigama and WP17,18 and 26 type torches, when fitted with a standard gas lens and 54N01 insulator.
