Customer Sales and Support Apprentice – Derby

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who thrives off helping people and delivering a high standard of customer service. As a family-run business, we pride ourselves on selling high-quality products that increase productivity, last longer, and improve safety and we are looking for an apprentice to join our friendly team!

The Role:

The ideal candidate will be approachable, able to use initiative, have a positive outlook with a ‘can do’ attitude, willingness to learn and seek continuous improvement. You ideally will have a practical interest in construction and engineering although this is not essential.

Your main day-to-day duties will include:

    • Being responsible for order processing and order progression.
    • Delivering professional communication with customers using telephone and email.
    • Liaising with delivery couriers and ensuring smooth delivery.
    • Product data input for online sales using our internal system.
    • Providing technical information.
    • Other customer service duties as and when required.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

In addition to gaining practical experience in the role, you will also attain an NVQ Level 2 Customer Service which will help start your career and give you an insight into the business’s processes and procedures. Our training is all completed remotely via teams with a development coach who will be available for support 24/7. You receive 20% off-the-job training during this Apprenticeship which is included in your weekly working hours.

Requirements and Prospects

Communication skills, IT skills, attention to detail, customer care skills, administrative skills, a logical approach to problem solving, team working ability, and initiative.

GCSE or equivalent Maths & English (Grade Grade D/3 or above) is essential.

Potential for internal/external sales roles for the right candidate.

Apprenticeship Level: Intermediate – Level 2 (GCSE)

Salary: £14,934.40 per year.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm with a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks, unpaid. Total hours per week: 40.
