Zarges
The Zarges brand is synonymous with high quality aluminium access equipment. When Walther Zarges founded the company in 1933 the use of aluminium was critical to the manufacture of its products. Within just five years Zarges became the first company in Europe to mass produce lightweight alloy ladders – something we all take for granted today. Over the next three decades Zarges continued to perfect and refine the use of this lightweight metal and saw creations such as collapsible packing cases and even cable cars leave its factories, indeed some of the cable cars are still in use to this day.
In order to increase manufacturing capability and efficiency, Zarges have always been early adopters of technology and new manufacturing processes; a fine example is computerisation and flanging on ladders, which was implemented at production facilities at the start of the 1970’s. Recognising a need for the customisation of access equipment created Zarges CREAXESS.
Now, for the first time, it was possible for customers to design aluminium stairs and platforms which met their exacting requirements and have them manufactured by a world class access equipment company. Now part of the WernerCo group, Zarges ladders, steps, work platforms and mobile towers are sold in over 100 countries worldwide.
