Grinding Discs

Grinding discs come in a variety of sizes and grits. The size of the disc is determined by the size of the angle grinder it will be used on. Grits refer to the coarseness of the abrasive particles bonded to the disc. A lower grit number indicates a coarser disc that is good for rapid stock removal, while a higher grit number indicates a finer disc that is good for smoothing surfaces. When using grinding discs, it is important to follow safety precautions. Always wear safety glasses, gloves, and a respirator to protect yourself from dust and debris. Make sure the grinding disc is properly mounted on the angle grinder and that the guard is in place. Never exceed the maximum speed rating of the grinding disc.
