Cable Ties
Despite their name, cable ties can be used for many more applications than just binding or securing cables. With a serrated strip and ratchet gear system cable ties are quickly and easily adjusted to suit the shape and size of the item to be bound with any excess being trimmed with pliers or scissors.
The most popular cable ties which are also known as tie-wraps and zip ties are not detachable, as the gear system is one directional and only works to tighten although releasable cable ties are available for use in temporary applications. Tie-wraps are available in different lengths, widths, colours and materials and may feature internal or external serrations. Zip-ties are used independently or in conjunction with fixings featuring cable tie mounts for binding cables, securing cables to cable trays and ladders, holding pipes, attaching identification tags and suspending signage. They are used in industrial, agricultural and manufacturing sectors.
