Trying to sand the edges of doors, tables and frames with a portable sander often results in rounded over edge profiles, worn backing pads or brake through of the edge surface. The alternative is using a hand sanding block which is time consuming and hard work – often delivering an inconsistent finish due to uneven pressure applied to the block. The unique edge sanding kit from Festool combines the efficiency and finish of a random orbital sander and the stability and security of an adjustable positioning guide featuring a large surface area which allows the sander to remain stable and perfectly placed against the edge of the workpiece.
The Festool edge sanding kit is also designed to provide unrivalled dust extraction during edge sanding which until now has proved difficult in applications where the backing pad is only partly exposed to the surface, allowing dust to escape into the surrounding area.
