Product Overview

Manufacturer: Weld Star

  • Weld star SG2 (G3Si1) MIG welding wire is manufactured using green wire which is produced with virgin raw materials and sourced from specialised steel mills. The results are a consistent quality and reliable MIG welding wire with good welding characteristics.

A copper coated solid wire suitable for single pass and multipass applications.

Suitable for the welding of unalloyed and low-alloyed carbon-manganese steels.

Good mechanical properties at sub-zero temperatures down to -40°C.

Vacuum-sealed plastic bag packaging to prevent moisture absorption.

Precision layer wound for superior wire feeding characteristics

Typically used on boilers, industrial machinery, bridges, shipbuilding, automotive, rail, structural and engineering fabrications etc.

Supplied on high quality BS300 wire spool, when mounting on to the welding machine there are no additional adaptors required. These spools meet the present and future demanding environmental requirements.

The BS300 spools are fitted with an innovative alignment hole clip which helps ensure smooth feeding when compared with traditional wire spools.
