• Use the Etched Guideline: The top section of the jig has an etched line for the traditional 6-inch (150mm) top hinge position. Use this as your starting reference.

• Adjust Sliding Blocks Precisely: Trend jigs have sliding blocks that you can position to match your hinge leaf width. Lock them in place with the central knobs for consistent results.

• Customise Hinge Positions: You can set the top hinge 6" from the header and the bottom hinge 9" from the floor. The middle hinge is adjustable too, just slide the blocks accordingly.

• Use the hinge leaf as a depth gauge. Plunge the router until the cutter touches the door edge, then lock the depth setting.

• Use bradawls or screws to anchor the jig. Be cautious on hardwood doors or fill holes with wax if needed.

• Always start from the top hinge and work downward. This helps maintain alignment and avoids cumulative errors.

Make sure you have the correct plunge base and guide bush adapters. Trend jigs often require a 16mm guide bush, and not all routers support it.

The Hinge Jig includes the jig complete, 2 bradawls for fixing the jig, a T handle hex key for adjusting the jig and the appropriate guide bush GB160, the only other item required is the cutter Ref: 3/8LX1/4TC.

Yes, the jig can be used to create pockets for mitred frame corner joints. It may be necessary to tilt the pocket hole piece so that the hole is not perpendicular to the mitred edge, so as to prevent the pocket from breaking out of the top edge.

During the pre-use check, the flow indicator will alert you to either a low battery or a clogged filter. If the battery is charged and the red ball on the flow indicator is still not at the top of the tube, then this suggests the filter needs changing.

• Sharing the same dimensions as a 310ml cartridge, a 400ml foil can hold – incredibly – approximately 35% more product for the same physical size. Compared to 600ml foil packs, the smaller 400ml are much easier to handle.
• Economical – Foil packs are often more economical to buy, meaning you get more for your money. The dispensing mechanism also ensures virtually every bit of the sealant or adhesive is used – resulting in little or no waste.
• Waste disposal – Once completely empty, a foil crushes down into a very compact slug – taking up just 5% of the space of a traditional cartridge. That’s a 95% reduction in the volume of waste resulting in significant disposal cost savings.
• Ecological – If we start with the manufacturing process of a foil pack, there are immediate environmental gains to be had. The empty foil packaging starts life as one continuous flat roll, which requires a fraction of the delivery and storage space compared to traditional plastic cartridges.
